The 10th iteration in the coveted Blood Oath series from Lux Row Distillers, Blood Oath Pact No. 10 marks a decade of dedication to excellence. Released annually, the Blood Oath series combines rare and wonderful, famous and forgotten bourbons to create each exceptional pact. To create Blood Oath Pact No. 10, Master Distiller John Rempe combined two Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskeys distilled from the same ryed (78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley) mash bill with a double finished bourbon that was first finished in Cabernet Franc barrels, followed by a secondary finish in Merlot barrels. Bottled at 98.6-proof, this Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey is presented in a commemorative fire-branded wooden display box with a limited outrun of just 51,000 bottles. On the nose, you are greeted by a bouquet of sweet fruit with hints of oak, setting the stage for what’s to come. On the palate, expect a symphony of flavors, with rich caramel notes mingling with tart raspberries and a subtle kick of black pepper, creating a harmonious balance of sweet and savory.
