The Bicentenary Blend from John Walker & Sons takes inspiration from the items found on an inventory for the original store in Kilmarnock opened by John Walker 200 years ago. Master blender Jim Beveridge and his team created this superior 28 year old blended Scotch whisky from some rare and very exciting stocks, including expressions from Pittyvaich, Cambus, and even Port Ellen. Each distillate was individually matured before being married in a combination of American and European oak casks. Composed of an undisclosed mash bill and housed in an elegantly designed decanter, John Walker & Sons Bicentenary Blend offers aromatic notes of soft fruits, spice, and swirls of smoke layered with sweet figs and sugar-coated ginger. On the palate are hues of wild honey, sultanas, cocoa, and dark molasses veiled in more smoke.
