Founded in 2018 by husband and wife team Steven and Brittany Yeng, Skrewball Whiskey began rather humbly as the best-selling cocktail mix at the Yeng's two restaurants in San Diego, California. Steve, an experienced bartender and blender, and Brittany - a foodie at heart - combined their talents, passion, and whim to create a one-of-a-kind whiskey with a twist. The rest is history! Inspired by Steven's life as a Cambodian refugee who immigrated to the US when he was 7 - a time when fitting in and finding his way was extraordinarily challenging - the brand is a form of expression and humor in light of hardship. Being seen as an outsider, Skrewball became a term the Yengs could deeply identify with - the whiskey offered as a tribute to being different, being a misfit, a black sheep ... a skrewball. The brand is now one of the fastest-growing whiskey labels in the US - continuing to prove that even outsiders can change the world, one sip at a time!
