Discontinued in the mid-1960s, the brand has since been revived by one of the most renowned makers of premium Irish whiskey, Midleton Distillery, who work closely with the Mitchell family to ensure the superior quality of this exceptional whiskey is kept true to its origins. Red Spot is part of a core range of iterations deployed under the umbrella brand Spot Whiskey, which includes several other highly prized iterations that have been and are set to be re-released by Midleton and Mitchell & Son. This beloved single malt classic and its fellowship of siblings are true champions of Irish whiskey history and continue the deep influence this historic brand holds over the markets even today.
