Established in 2014 by Australian-born native Will Edwards, Archie Rose Distilling Co. began as an idea after Edwards visited Brooklyn distillery Kings County. Committing himself to bringing artisanal crafted distillates to Sydney-siders after witnessing the limited distillery locations in Australia, especially in larger cities, Edwards left his corporate job behind and delved into the world of whisky with eyes wide open and innovative thinking at the ready. Establishing Archie Rose Distilling Co as an independent distillery, one of the first in Sydney since 1853, Edwards and his team strive to define Australian-made whiskys, gins, vodkas, and rums in a whole new way. The distillery operates three custom-made stills crafted by Peter Bailly - the country's only still maker at the time - and the brand (plus a bar) was officially launched in 2015 out of Rosebery, Sydney. Initially offering three signature spirits - Archie Rose Signature Dry Gin, Original Vodka, and White Rye - the brand has since expanded to include premium single malt whisky, rye malt whisky, and a range of bottled cocktails. Archie Rose Distilling has won multiple awards since its launch, including being named World's Best Rye Whisky three times and Australia's Best Single Malt Whisky eight times! Will Edwards himself was named the Global Young Achiever of the Year by Spirits Business 2020 and included in the renowned Forbes 30 under 30 list.
