Established in 1986 by Jean Phillips - a former real estate legend - Screaming Eagle Winery and Vineyards produced its first vintage in 1992 and quickly blossomed into a cult-status winery. Located in Oakville, California, this select vineyard offers highly curated varietal wines crafted in distinctly limited quantities. With the help of winemaker Heidi Peterson Barrett and other wine experts such as Nick Gislason, Screaming Eagle rose to become one of the most celebrated and exclusive wine producers in the region. In March 2006, the estate was sold to billionaire Stan Kroenke (and Charles Banks, who left the company in 2009). Since then, the legacy of quality and masterful craftsmanship has continued with the brand, which produces an average of 600-700 cases per year. One rare vintage, the 1992 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon, was considered the most expensive wine in the world, selling for upwards of half a million US dollars in the year 2000. Screaming Eagle Winery and Vineyards is superior wine-making mastery at its finest, offering a whole new stratosphere of quality and quaffability from nose to finish!
