Originating from the La Altena Distillery which was founded by Don Felipe Camarena Hernandez in 1937, Tapatio Tequila was launched in 1940 and is a brand of 100% blue Weber agave tequila produced using traditional artisan methods for the highest quality. A stepbrother to world-renowned tequila brand El Tesoro de Don Felipe, Tapatio has gone on to win multiple awards including the 2013 Brands of Promise Award, the 2013 Lake Tahoe Food and Wine Judge's Choice Gold, and the 2014 Best Tequila from the Bartender's Best Awards, just to name a few.
