Established nearly 3 centuries ago in 1724, Remy Martin is a brand of ultra-premium French cognac from the region of Cognac, France. Martin is one of four premier cognac houses in the world, referred to as ‘the big four’, alongside internationally renowned brands Martell, Hennessy, and Courvoisier. Established by Paul-Emile Remy Martin - a vintner by trade - the brand remained in the family until 1927 when Andre Renaud, a partner in E. Remy Martin & Co, took the reins. Remy Martin cognac is created from a blend of Eaux-de-vie derived from Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus, or high-quality vineyards. The blends are distilled using traditional methods in small copper stills, matured in French Limousin barrels, then finished to varying ages depending on the release. The brand offers an array of superior cognacs such as Remy Martin XO and VSOP, Martin 1738 Accord Royal, and the rare Remy Martin Centaure De Diamant, among others.
