Privately launched in 1992 by John Hall, a first-generation whisky maker, with the help of Master Blender Bill Ashburn - Forty Creek is a brand of innovative Canadian whisky located in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada. Produced at the Grimsby Distillery, Forty Creek and its team of experts have capitalized on the relaxed regulations around the distillation of Canadian whisky, opting to experiment with grains, fermentation, and aging with a singular methodology. The result has been a welcome reinvention of this historically underestimated whisky. Forty Creek was purchased by the Italian-based Campari Group in 2014, which has further invested in the ideals set out by Hall and Ashburn and promoted the brand as a force to be reckoned with.
