Conceived by actor and comedic legend Dan Aykroyd along with artist John Alexander, Crystal Head Vodka was first introduced in 2008. Cited as being one of the few additive-free vodkas on the market, Crystal Head is produced by Globefill Inc. at the Rock Spirits Distillery in Newfoundland and Labrador Canada. This premier vodka is derived from Ontario-grown sweet corn, quad-distilled, and filtered 7 times – the last 3 times through Herkimer diamond crystals, resulting in the purest of quality and clarity. Crystal Head is presented in an iconic skull-themed glass bottle designed by Alexander himself and inspired by the legend of the crystal skulls; pre-Columbian skulls said to be carved out of quartz. In 2013, Crystal Head Vodka was announced as the official vodka of the Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary Tour and the brand has since launched several highly-collectible editions including a limited release, rainbow-hued Pride celebration bottle offered in 2020.
