Originally created by Tom Jago of a company by the name of Gilbeys of Ireland in 1971, Baileys Irish Cream – otherwise known as simply Baileys – was officially established in 1974 and released on the market as the first Irish cream liqueur. Now owned by internationally renowned liquor conglomerate Diageo, this highly-favored whisky liqueur is one of the world’s most popular alcoholic drinks and features a blend of premium cocoa, Irish whiskey, and fresh cream sourced from Irish dairy company Glanbia – the brand’s primary supplier of cream for over 30 years.
