Redwood Empire was launched by owner Derek Benham and Master Distiller Jeff Duckhorn in 2016 as an affiliate brand of Graton Distilling in Sonoma, California. Cited as a combination whiskey, this unique brand of bourbon utilizes sourced distillates from unnamed distilleries as well as house-distilled rye crafted by Granton. Similar in essence to whiskies from MGP and 1792 Barton, Redwood Empire emphasizes a focus on producing masterfully blended bourbons and ryes inspired by the Northern California coastline and proudly states that for every bottle purchased, the brand will plant a tree. Located in the heart of the Redwood Empire forests, this internationally awarded whiskey combines the passion and spiritual connection between man and nature, taking its philosophy from John Muir - the "Father of National Parks" in the US. Redwood Empire offers various limited-release selections, but has three core iterations in its portfolio, namely; Pipe Dream Bourbon, Emerald Giant Rye, and Lost Monarch - a rye-dominated bourbon blended with American whiskey.
